April 17

Deputy Nichols, burglary, Hwy. 154; about 10 boats tampered with or had items removed, offense report completed.

Sgt. Cox, Cpl. Rapp, disturbance, CR 4490; victim’s ex-boyfriend came to residence to retrieve their child, became upset, grabbed victim by neck, threw her to ground, deputies observed marks on victim’s neck, Matthew Holt arrested for assault.

Deputy Haley, suspicious person, CR 2100; property owner saw someone on game camera, not supposed to be there, deputy did not locate anyone.

April 18

Deputy Skinner, assault, Hawkins; victim got into physical dispute with boyfriend at residence, continued  in vehicle, supplement report forwarded to Hawkins PD.

Cpl. Rapp, Deputy Comeaux, possible theft, CR 2166; two people on four-wheelers trying to steal items, deputies unable to locate suspects.

Cpl. Smith, missing person, FM 17; son left residence twice, did not return second time, no friends have been able to contact him, regional BOLO put out.

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Haley, Deputy Way, Deputy Croney, disturbance, CR 2774; victim’s boyfriend woke her up yelling, raised fist, victim  attempted to call 911, boyfriend took phone away, canceled call. Ian Brown arrested for interference with emergency request for assistance.  

April 19

Cpl. Burdick, agency assist, contacted by Mineola PD about vehicle that left Walmart involved in theft, stopped vehicle, Mineola PD placed subject in custody.

Deputy Williams, assault; caller assaulted by male, witnesses advised both subjects involved in physical altercation, case forwarded to investigations.

Deputy Cato, agency assist; observed Mineola PD unit in pursuit, ended in Van.

April 20

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Pollard, suspicious vehicle, Hwy. 154; vehicle with drug paraphernalia parked near store, business owner provided license plate which returned to subject who has made previous threats to officers, vehicle left scene, not located.

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Pollard, structure fire, CR 1340; lightning struck oil holding tank which caused explosion, nearby residences checked for safety, appropriate agencies responded.

Sgt. Morrison, Deputy Pollard, suspicious person, Hwy. 37; female at residence acting confused, left before deputies arrived, located vehicle and subject, due to language barrier, subject’s boyfriend contacted who stated she had not been sleeping, was trying to find his residence, property owner did not wish to pursue charges. 

Cpl. Burdick, traffic stop, Hwy. 154; passenger Tyler Huff found to have two active warrants, placed in custody.

April 21

Cpl. Croney, fraud, FM 2869; victim made purchase through mobile banking app, female put another banking app on phone, later discovered fraudulent charge to bank account, offense report completed.

Deputy Pollard, possible burglary, Hwy. 154; storage building possibly been broken into but subject out of town, follow up will be completed when he returns.

Sgt. Morrison, Cpl. Croney, side by side roll over with juveniles; all children freed from side by side, two flown to hospital due to severe injuries, parents contacted.

April 22 

Sgt. Cox, Deputy Nichols, suspicious vehicle, FM 2088; caller advised neighbor’s house vacant, vehicle there with trailer full of items, deputies spoke with subjects who advised they got lost, were turning around, unable to make contact with property owner.

Lt. Milbourn, Sgt. Cox, stolen vehicle, Private Road 8692; Greenville PD advised stolen vehicle may be at residence, did not locate vehicle on property.

Sgt. Cox, possible theft; rental agency advised someone rented trailer from them, then stole it, trailer had not been entered as stolen at time of call, deputies unable to contact possible suspect.

April 23

Deputy Nichols, burglary, FM 825; someone broke into residence, stole items, report completed with missing items listed.

Lt. Kovic, Cpl. Smith, Deputy Way, suspicious circumstance, FM 1801; deputies observed male acting suspicious, located female hiding behind car, located Xanax on female who was wanted out of Smith County, male subject criminally trespassed from property, Nikita Waldon arrested for possession of controlled substance, active warrant.

Sgt. Mayer, suspicious circumstance, CR 2150; caller in process of buying land, noticed someone had been staying on property, deputy searched area, observed front gate open, signs that someone had been on property, caller advised to put up cameras and lighting.
